The following departments are among those who have benefited from financial support from Family Connection. Financial support is needed to sustain and grow programs and services that benefit students at The Florida State University. Career Center
The Career Center serves all Florida State Univeristy students regardless of major or academic year. The mission of the Career Center is to provide comprehensive career services, train career service practioners, conduct life/career development, and disseminate information about life/career services and issues to the University, community, the nation and the world.
Dean of Students
The Dean of Students Department serves the needs of all Florida State University students. The offices included in the Department are Greek Life, Student Rights & Responsibilities, New Student & Family Programs, Withdrawals, Victim Advocate, and the Student Disability Resource Center.
The Dean of Students Department supports the holistic development of students through advocacy, emplowerment, leadership, accountability, and community. It does this by supoporting the University's academic mission and by providing services, advocacy, and crisis management for all students through creative problem-solving, accessibility, and accountability
Thagard Student Health Center
Thagard Student Health Center is a fully accredited primary care facility, which provides medical care and outreach programs through a team of dedicated professionals. Many of Thagards services are free to all currently enrolled FSU students.
University Counseling Center
The University Counseling Center provides support services that help each student group and develop emotioanlly, interpersonally, and intellectually. The Counseling Center provides their services free of charge to all currently enrolled students.
Victim Advocate Program
The Victim Advocate Program serves students victims of crime. Their services for crime victims include crisis intervention; emotional support; accompaniment to the police, hospital, courts; information and referrals; exloration of options; professor notification; safe lodging, and other services as needed.
